On this week’s Sunday Morning Inspiration, Tonya Rivens sat down with Community and Public Director Bea Thompson about the 3rd annual Umbrella Drive for Power 98 and V 101.9.
Whoever thought an umbrella would be a good thing to give to the homeless?! Donating a simple umbrella can raise the spirits of someone seeking employment, or the umbrellas can shelter someone from the rain and nasty weather in the winter or spring.
Our goal is 1,000 umbrellas since last year’s total was 850, and we hope to get well over 1K umbrellas.
The Umbrella Drive is Wednesday, November 13th from 9 AM – 3 PM at the Homeless Resource Center: Corner of North College and 9th Street.
